| | Frog Help! Hi guys,
I've only just joined so I can get some info and advice about a frog in my garden.
We have a few plant pots in the corner of our garden which had collected rainwater and about three weeks ago I noticed a frog was inside the top stack of one of them. I thought he was stuck but if I touched the pot he dived into the water (which is only 2-3 inches deep). When warm he sticks his head out but this morning the pot was frozen over. I poked a hole so he could breathe and moved the pot to my utility room to thaw and the frog is now fine. But is he ok in the pot in such shallow water?
Thanks for any help because I know nothing about frogs! |

| | | Re: Frog Help! The frog should be fine, obviously it wouldnt spend the whole of winter in such a small space but over the course of afew days it wouldnt be a problem especially with the temperature gradually increasing as the spring comes. If it did get to cold for it, it would move to a more sheltered location. Frogs are quite hardy animals and abit of frost and ice doesnt bother them to much. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
