I have had tadpoles (frog) in my pond for about 4 weeks now. I have gone from seemingly hundreds, to about 10 large ones, just on the verge of becoming froglets. |

| | | Re: First Tadpoles We have Frog and Toad tadpoles, the froglets are big as they were firse to hatch. We also have newts laying eggs at the moment. The newts have eaten lots of the tads they creap up then pounce on the tadpole. We put some tadpoles in a half barrel so some will survive. |

| | | Re: First Tadpoles smooth newt embryos in spawn still in Cliffe in kent last week. I think the dry weather has held the newts back a bit this year. One of my colleagues was still finding torpid (which essentially means hibernating) Great crested newts on land only a few weeks ago | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
