british reptile book

Hi all,
can anyone suggest a GOOD British reptile book?I am looking for something which is based more on behaviour/natural history of the british species rather than identification and glossy photos etc.Good if someone could help,cheers

I think your best bet would be Subbuteo or NHBS bookstores. These seem to stock a lot of scientific stuff.

Collins do a good guide to (northern?) European reptiles & Amphibians

If you want the 'bible' try to get Trevor Beebees book on amphibeans and reptiles, its a collins new naturalist book. unfortunatly its out of print now and the hardbacks are around £100, but i am told paperbacks are considerably cheaper.

Ive looked for Trevor Beebees book,I found a few but quite expensive.Its the sort of thing I want though.Does anyone know of books similar to Beebees that are still in print?
