Re: At the new forest reptile centre today

Thanks for the comments- now I've done a test somewhere I'm almost certain to see Adders, the next thing is to go out in the wild and find some. There's a couple of places I'm going to check next week if the weather is suitable. Alan, I take it you are the same Alan on Herpetofauna?

Nice pics Mark, i love the young sneaking up the side of the melanistic, what a cutey. Big fan of the new forest (as its where i got hooked on Adders myself).. specially the reptile centre.( think your own young will have the berus bug now too)

Re: At the new forest reptile centre today

Funny you say that because they do want to go back and see the V. Berus again! Here's a final picture of a young female(I think).

Exclamation Re: At the new forest reptile centre today

Without advertising the exact locations(anyone could be reading this thread), one location is a few miles north of Basingstoke which apparently is quite good. Another one is about 4 miles away from me and some heathland in the east of Hampshire.

What I want to do and what I actually get to do are 2 things though. There must be some good locations around your area Alan including some good Coronella territory.
