Todays Daily Mail (31:08:07) runs an article about a three foot Grass snake that
has taken to eating Gold Fish 
It has apparently been taking fish up to eight inches long,the pond it hunts has
more than two hundred fish and it is reckoned to take one a fortnight
I personally think that if fish is all there is that is what it will eat,a more balanced
habitat would mean it would probably leave the fish alone

Hmmm, I can never understand why anyone would complain about the gift of a beautiful native species entering their garden and eating a non native species that has caused endless problems to our amphibian life. It's a compliment to the gardener . |

Grass snakes have always predated fish,,, Cant blame them when someone throws a banquet for them .. It would be rude of them to hiss the chance...
