2 Lizzards and a couple of questions

Good shots, of the lizards and snake, there are alot of these two species on the north york moors, your adder looks quite a big female GME. Its amazing how close you do get to these snakes.

I can't be sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if GME's adder is a pre-slough male - the stripe is very dark for a female, and the base colour is about right for a male at this time of year.

Goosey, your second photo is ace, that zig-zag is almost a straight line along the back. Lovely snake & lovely shot

Thanks Dogghound and Ian, I was so excited to get the photo's. GME's and mine are of the same snake(s), we were at Haweswater last Friday and the shots were taken a few minutes apart. We didn't know the connection of being WAB members, it was pure coincidence we were there at the same time - shame. We had hoped to see a Golden Eagle and ended up seeing these beauties.
