| | | Re: What to do about grass snake taken up residence by pond? H Demicav,
I have spotted two smaller grass snakes basking in the same conifer. Both disappeared before I could get very close to them.
I can see that they can easily get into and out of the pools around the waterfall but would they be able to do the same at the vertical sides of the pond?
kind regards

It didn't stay long though.
We shall be on snake watch now. When is the best time to see them?
kind regards

| | | Re: What to do about grass snake taken up residence by pond? They usually hunt early morning but will then bask in the sun for the rest of the day. There's probably always an exception to the rule. To be honest I don't know as much about grass snakes as I do Adders, which I'm lucky enough to have spent quite a lot of time with.
Great picture by the way, keep them coming.
All the best

Lovely snake, too. I saw ours this morning, around 8.30am, even though it was dull and overcast... on the hunt for breakfast... they are beautiful, aren't they?! I can understand you not being so sure about the idea of them coming to visit you in your house, though!
