| | | Frogs I have acquired with my house a pond and what looks like hundreds of frogs. They seem to be happy, but is there something I should be doing to care for them or is it best I just leave them alone? |

| | | Re: Frogs The only thing you need to do (apart from keeping an eye on them to be sure there are no problems) is to make sure that when the tadpoles mature, they have easy access out of the pond. If the pond has steep slippery sides, you may need to make them an exit route.

| | | Re: Frogs Just watch those frogs mate, its like a blooming jacusi, but keep an eye out as the males will drown females(or fish as they did in my pond) excess spawn can sometimes be shared, check your local wildlife organisations or local radio

| | | Re: Frogs Ahh is that what they're doing They have been going crazy in the pond since about 2 weeks ago and it looks like some of the frogs after they mate (i think) push or like you say try and drown the other. Interesting |

They are not really trying to drown anything, just trying to mate, and when they get frustrated they will grab anything that is vaguely female shaped and sized. Try putting your hand in the water!

henrya | I experienced something like that when I went to a club the other week, it wasn't pleasant at all |
