Toad spawn!!!!!

Today I Went To This pond And It Was Drying Up And In The Little bit Of Water That Was Left Was Some Toad Spawn!! I Told The Warden And He Asked Me To Look After It And Raise The Tadpoles When They Hatch! But I Only Got It Today And Has Not Hatched Yet.

Brilliiant! Toads are gorgeous.I'm in central London.So far plenty of frog and newt activity and egg-laying but no toads.ARE THERE ANY MEMBERS IN THE LONDON AREA WHO HAVE TOADSPAWN YET???

Re: newt egg-laying leaves: I just empty a bag of (spring-water washed) watercress into the pond at this time of year. It floats on the surface ,putting out short roots.Almost every leaf is curled up with a newt egg inside, in a few weeks! Then,in July,when the efts have hatched, I remove the surplus cress(and feed it to my tortoises).Easypeasy!
