| | | Fencing adders Went on a reptile walk today in Kent, reasonably successful as we saw male adders fencing for the attention of a female. Not very good photos, but you'll notice the fence is nicely in focus;
Jules (aka Wild-Woman) was with us but missed this as she was engrossed in watching shield-bug porn  Fighting all her natural instincts, she didn't lay down in the middle of a footpath once!  I think she's been swapped by aliens...
I did get one pic almost in focus;
Never mind Jules, I'm sure your shield-bug report will rock the scientific community to its very core!

You missed all the bug fun in the field when the group got split up. I was quite low to the ground then
