| | | Slow Worm On Easter Sunday whilst helping my girlfriends 5 year old with an Easter egg hunt on a field behind a local pub i stumbled over a rock, i lifted it hoping for an egg but i found something far better. A slow worm. I hadn't seen a slow worm since i was about 10 years old!
It was probably about a foot long and it didn't seem to mind me disturbing his home until the kids wondered what i was up to then proceeded to scream SNAKE!!! and run away. He then slithered off into the long grass to find somewhere quieter no doubt!
No pictures unfortunately but i hope i don't have to wait another 14 years until i spot another.

| | | Re: Slow Worm i have never seen a wild reptile in this country though i did nearly get bitten by a small horn tailed adder in cyprus as i removed it from my mums garden with a pair of kitchen tongs because if she'd seen it would have been killed. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
