| | | Re: Photo size This post gives an idea of the general technique, but your exact method will depend upon which image editing software you decide to use. Re-sizing For Forums
Not also, that the Gallery has very specific requirements which have to be met, regarding describing/naming of photos.
You may have already read the posts on what is needed, but if not:- http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/fo...tml#post657362

| | | Re: Photo size I too use IRFAN but there are other perfectly good programmes (although some cost money)!
Basically, do everything that you want to do to editing your picture, especially cropping (you can use the magnifying (+ or -) key to get the screen image to fit [this does not alter the size of the image])and then go to re-size: set the horizontal measurement to about 1000 pixels, the height will automatically change proportionally (if it is below 600 then make your width greater!). Then go to 'File, Save as' and save your picture in an appropriate folder!
Looks a bit long-winded when written down but is easy in practice. Good luck and looking forward to seeing some of your pictures. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
