| | | World's largest photograph Or so they claim.
Made by stitching together 1,665 images from a Canon 5D mk II the end result is 297,500 x 87,500 pixels. That's 26 Gigapixels. I'm thinking the claim is probably a good one! Gigapixel-Dresden.de - Large Size Panoramas

| | | Re: World's largest photograph Coo! That's a lot of photographs! Does anyone know how long it took them to do that? or even the computer specs required?? must be massive! As much as I love my photography, I'm not sure I'd have the patience for such a project!
That said, if it was for a world record or something similar then I'm sure I could be pursuaded...

D/x | According to the blurb in Dave's link:
"It consists of 1.665 full format pictures with 21.4 megapixel, which was recorded by a photo-robot in 172 minutes. The converting of 102 GB raw data by a computer with a main memory cache of 48 GB and 16 processors took 94 hours." |

| | | Re: World's largest photograph Awesome! I am impressed but not so much as I would be if they printed it out - you couldn't possible appreciate it unless it were.
Just look at this by Rafael Rivera - wonderful!!!
Just get me a helicopter (free) and a head for heights (more difficult) and I'll have a go. The most my Mac will cope with is around 140 images - reduced in size. Need more RAM!!! YouTube - Ponorama stitching in photoshop of New York City
