And just to make you feel really envious, Will, I bought my 40D last year when, not only was the basic price lower but I received £100 reduction from the Canon Cash Back offer.

I had the choice last year of either a 40D with 17-85
or keeping the 400D and getting a longer lens
seems I should have done it the other way round!!
was the £100 for the 40D + 17-85??
