| | | Sony a77 jpeg shots I have had the new Sony a77 for a few weeks now so for those that are interested here are a few jpeg shots.
1/500 sec - F10 - 320 iso
1/500 sec - F8 - 1600 iso
Both shots taken with the a77 and the 70-400g |

Is it worth me upgrading from the 330 to the 65 (can't run to the 77 [or 65 but with a following wind and creeping ]) Have they been cropped etc?
Cheers ,shenk1

There has been a lot of talk about the poor quality of the a77 at higher iso.
I find that for wildlife, as long as there is reasonable light the camera is fine up to 3200 iso.
This last week has seen really grey and miserable sky and I have not had a shot worth keeping. I am still learning about the camera so hope things will improve as I get to understand it.
I can't really give an opinion on the a65 but it has the same sensor and many of the functions as the a77. Go and try one, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
The electronic view finder is great, nice and clear and compared to the a550 I had the auto focus speed is much faster.
I will post more as I get to understand all the functions.
Here's a pic at 3200 iso. Personally, I dont think its that bad. |
