There seems to be extremes of opinion/experience with the 7D from users in the photography forum (a 'Marmite' camera!). From what I remember one user kept their 40D, and still often uses it because they can rely on getting consistently good results from it, which they can't from the 7D.

Hi Andrew,
It's a fantastic camera as far as I'm concerned. I've never had a minute's trouble from mine.
You can get them from around £1030 from some traders on Amazon, otherwise you seem to be looking at around £1100 from the more established sellers (or £950 if you want a grey import).

I've still got my 40D, but I tend to use that at home for my water shots just so that I don't have to change lenses all the time.
If I'm going out then it has to be the 7D. |

I`ve never regretted getting my 7D, and it`s even better since i had it calibrated with my 500mm lens.

No problems with mine either, an excellent camera ( not as good as a Nikon though  )
