When using a camera which way do you roll the camera to portrait the shot and are you left or right handed.

I am right handed and I roll the camera so the shutter release is at the top. How about you??????

I'm left-handed and roll it the same way as you.

Right handed - but I have a vertical grip fitted so it has to be shutter top right.

To be honest I'd imagine most if not all people will turn the camera the same way. Turning it shutter side down is so awkward that you can barely take a picture.

I'm right handed but roll it to have the shutter release at the bottom right explains a lot I suppose

I do the opposite ..... and I'm right-handed - just seems more comfortable that way ...

I am always amused when I see films in which paparazzi (obviously actors unfamiliar with the workings of a camera) jostling for position at the front of a mêlée, make one shot in portrait format and then rotate the camera 180 degrees and shoot again, in the hope of getting a different perspective of the action!
From my point of view, the shutter release is always at the top for portrait shots.
