That sounds like an excellent idea. I can add a cross beam on to bring same in front of me. It has potential and is likely to get the go ahead from the NHS as not any likely hood of permanent damage to the chair.... Been looking at gimbal heads, the Wimberley Sidekick sounds like a good compromise as this will allow a stable base for both long and shorter lenses. eBay could well be a good place to start.
Cheers for the advice, now I need to get the support sorted and ready then I have to decide which lens to go for, the 100-400 seems like it may just have the edge! Gives me the scope to take all the types of photography I enjoy.
Have a good weekend, am off to Scarborough tomorrow morning, hope to get some sea birds from/on the cliffs.
