| | | Camlink Tripod Ive just bought a Camlink Tripod, my problem is when you split the centre column, so the legs can go right down to the ground, the peice that goes back into the tripod has a different fitting as shown in the photo can i get a reducer for it, i hope ive explained myself clearly i need the head to screw on the peice on the right thank you...Ray

I'm tempted to think that you've been given the wrong short column, and that it is meant for a different model (i.e one where the long column would also have a 1/4 thead).
Was the tripod boxed when purchased? - I'd seriously consider taking it back to the shop and querying the logic of what's been supplied.
As DRB says, you could by a 1/4" to 3/8" adaptor but then you would always have to ensure that the adaptor didn't come off the male 1/4"screw on the short column, and end up inside the female 3/8" thread of the head.
In which case you might find it difficult to get it out again and you wouldn't be able to put the head back onto the long column until you did. (NB. some of these thread adaptors are slotted - to accept a screwdriver, for just that reason).
