Canon Lens needs repairing

Automatic focus has gone bonkers.

Also what sort of cost should I expect.

They may be able to give you an estimate/quote.

I've not used them myself, but saved the link to my favourites list some while back after seeing a few good reports on the company. (Just in case I needed a repair company at some time in the future).

If I recall correctly WAB members (maybe pressld2?) have used their services.

I used Colchester Cameras. Very friendly and helpful. Officially recognised by Canon.

Other official repairers are to be found on the Canon (Europe) website.

But which lens? A repair won't be cheap so it's only really worth while for the more expensive L lenses.

Expect to pay around £100 to £150 for a strip down and rebuild plus any parts.

As I am in Colchester most weeks as my daughter lives there,
I'll give them a go first. I hadn't heard of them before.
