It was the focus mode that was suggested you take a look at.

Practice and lots of effort will get it in the end, first 1 in a 1000, then 1 in a 100, then ???? how good will you get? 1 in 10 maybe or 1 in 2?

I use center focus point only, or central area sometimes, quick shutter with aperture and ISO on auto

The 100/400 isn't the best lens in the world, but I think it's very good value for money. Much better than many lenses that some people rave about.
