canon 50d american style

hi all
I have canon 400d and want to upgrade to a 50d, (I have dissregaded the 60d), I am looking for a seconghand model and have come accross one on a well known auction site but it is stated as the american model, does anybody know the difference?

Essentially non at all, but it may come with a non original power lead or an adapter, and it may have the word Rebel somewhere in its name.

All of my Canon bodies, bar my 1DS, are US models and there is no difference to the way they operate etc.

Don't worry, it wont be any fatter, or louder. (You can tell who is annoyed with the noisy Yanks at the US Open this weekend)

The English model takes colour pictures whereas the American one takes color pictures.

I have to admit that I got this from another forum and I cannot claim the credit.
