Canon body upgrade advice please.

Hi everyone and thank you for all your replies.

The refurbished 50D got sold - but thanks to eeyore, I researched the seller a bit more and was put off - you might have saved me from making a mistake.

I ended up with a good example of the 50D (it was delivered today [Monday]) - approx 3300 shutter actuations, six batteries, Opteka grip and a transferable extended warranty that is good up to November 2112.

It's quite a step up from the 350D and I'm looking forward to using it. From a quick play in the garden, the ISO/low light performance looks like a big improvement. On a personal note, I do like the bigger size and heavier weight too.

So I'd just like to point out that the warranty runs to 2012 and not 2112 as stated in my previous post

you can only edit for 15 minuites after the original post - thats to stop people from trolling then going back and deleting the evidence after they have ignited an argument.

Trouble with quotes is that some unscruplous people can edit them to change their meanings ... not that I'd ever do such a thing
