| | | Camera Rain Covers A while back I saw a man taking photographs in the rain, his camera was on a tripod and the camera was protected by a transparent rain cover with two sleeves.
At the moment, if I am taking photos and it rains, I either give up or use a plastic bag to cover my camera. A friend of mine said she knows someone who puts a shower cap on their camera when it rains!
I have seen a rain cover which will cover my D90, 70-300 lens and battery grip. I think it would be worth buying one, my hesitation is whether they make using the camera so awkward that the rain cover will end up not being used, especially as I do not generally take a tripod out with me so the camera would be handheld.

| | | Re: Camera Rain Covers I have the think tank rain cover, hydrophobia 300-600 which I use with my 200-400. They also do a version for the 70-200 which may be useable on a 70-300. I am not sure if the zoom / focus will extend the barrel to far or not.
The thinktank range of covers are extremely good and hard wearing with great access to the lens etc.

| | | Re: Camera Rain Covers I hate buying gadgets if I can make something, try a sleeve cut from a cagoul
the elaticated wrist around the lense, and the broader section covers the camera.
This is a cheap one to try Op Tech Op/Tech RainSleeve SLR Camera Rain Cover
7 Day Shop may have some at a good price

Thanks for the link Andy.
I shall definitely be investing in a rain cover. I just have to browse through and choose one now
