having grown tired of turning it off and on again for each picture to be taken its off back to the shop, 5 weeks wait I have been quoted over the phone :-(

My 7D was from Jessops, when told it would be 5-7 weeks I almost fainted...
I went directly to a very helpful manufacturers service center.
Repaired in 5 days, only an hours drive from home.
They will post it back to you of course......
All you need is your receipt.

lens has been sent away to be fixed, now left with a body only :-(
