Hmm, I've seen some pretty poor images in the Gallery that look like they've been taken with the Canon 18-55mm 'coke bottle bottom' kit lens!

Lens quality is a far, far greater factor in determining image quality than the body. I don't know why people think body first. The body is just an accessory to the lens.
