| | | help for novice hi
I have a Celestron Ultima 80 spotting scope and am looking to buy a DSLR to attach to it to take photographs. I like looking at wildlife and the night sky also. I wonder if anyone could recommend a good DSLR to use with it for these purposes?
I have been recommended the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 and also the Ricoh GXR.
Does anyone have any experiences they can pass on to a novice please?
thanks :-)

| | | Re: help for novice No particular DSLR will be better or worse than any other. What you need to a way of linking the camera to the scope and there is a lot of information on the 'net.
Some folks find a non DSLR camera useful for digiscoping.
Have a look at Digi-scoping for example, or as you have a Celestron scope, this one Set up for Beginners - Digiscoping Discussion Advice Learn to Digiscope
But there are loads of others.
