| | | Re: Canon 500D settings The main points discussed in this thread concern the lens performance.
It really doesn't matter what camera body the lens is fitted to, whether it be an 'entry grade' or 'top of the range pro' (with the same size sensor), the results will be near indistinguishable. It goes to show what I always maintain - that the body is an accessory to the lens, not the other way round. 90%+ of an image quality is determined by the lens used, yet most people when buying a camera or discussing an image concentrate on the camera body ("It was taken with a Nikon Gigapix 1000" or "a Canon Super Titanium 10G"). The best body in the world can't work magic on an image presented to the sensor by an 'iffy' lens!

I took some shots with this set up but I am not entirely happy with them so I am going to get a macro lens when I get back.
Here are some shots I took today..
I need to read up on how to use the shutter speed not sure what numbers I need the camera on to get what result but I am slowly understanding it all.
Really pleased as these got into the Gallery..
the macro.. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
