I'm looking to buy a digital projector for use in presenting Illustrated Talks (featuring mainly photos but powerpoint based) and wondered if anyone here on WAB has any direct experience of Optoma brand projectors, or can perhaps recommend another brand within my price range.
I'm looking at the DLP type (ie 'digital light processing') as opposed to the more expensive LCD models and I don't really want to spend more than about £500.
I'm currently considering 3 possibilities -
Amazon have the Optoma DS316L model (now discontinued) at £229.99 - it's a 2700 lumens model with 800 x 600 SVGA resolution
Just Projectors have the Optoma DX319P model at £444 - it's a 2500 lumens model but with 1024 x 768 XGA resolution and the price includes a spare bulb.
They also have the Optoma EX531P at £466.80 - a 2600 lumens model, again with 1024 x 768 XGA resolution and with a spare bulb included in the price.
So, has anyone any experience of these please or can anyone suggest (based on personal experience) any other similarly priced makes/models that I should consider.
Thanks in advance.
