from Brad Hill. A Canadian nature/wildlife pro photographer and long-time Nikon user who tells it how he sees it.
Also has a great Gallery of photos - well worth a visit. |

| | | Re: Nikon D7000 Review. Interesting stuff. The D7000 is using that cracking new sony sensor in Pentax K-5 and the funky new Sony prism camera and its high Iso performace is the best on a cropped sensor, at the moment anyway - that might change next week!
It will be interesting to see what Nikon do with the D300s successor, which will presumably use the same sensor? Unless o course something better arrives by then |

Well worth considering for anyone jumping from the D80 / D90 and it will certainly match or better the performance of the D300/S in some areas.
Ken Rockwell’s review can be found here: Nikon D7000

| | | Re: Nikon D7000 Review. Thanks for all the info, hubby is looking to upgrade from a D40X, he had been looking at a D90, but heard about the D7000. We also have a D200, which is a great camera, but just too heavy with lenses to carry up mountains wih the other gear we need.
If he decides to get one, which I think he has, I'll get his D40X, I use the D40 at the moment or the D200 if I'm not walking too far, which is great with the macro lens.
Regards, Audrey. |

... | I fully agree Audrey. Looking with interest at the 7000.

| | | Re: Nikon D7000 Review. John,
Any chance you could mail me an iso 800 image with no sharpening or noise reduction? Sorry to be a bit cheeky. Would like to compare with the D300 I have.
regards.
