I have the MTL9351B which is very similar to the 9361 but costs less. The max load of the 9351 is 5kgs compared to the 8kgs of the 9361. The 9351 is an excellent a very sturdy tripod and weighs 1850kgs compared to 2200kgs with head attached.
The head I have is a Manfrotto 804RC2 again an excellent device.
I agree the Giottos are very well made and excellent value.

However I use a monopod most of the time with 40D/ 100-300mm combination and use the tripod mainly for landscape photography where of course the lens etc is much lighter.
