But £999 seems about right.
Considering it's almost as long, very nearly/as sharp, 2/3rds of a stop faster and now has OS, it's quite impressive that it's still cheaper than the 180mm L macro!
If sigma are sensible, they'll keep the non OS version in production. It's superb value for money as a long macro lens. |

I'm hoping its just a "new product intial price " and that it will drop by 1 to 2 hundred pounds. At a thousand pounds i'm more inclined to go for the older version at nearly half the price.

Seems a bit more of a realistic price at only approx £150 - £200 more than a non OS version.
