Should work well with a 1.4X TC as well, something my copy certainly didn't! | Cheers for that Graham so far I've used it with a 2x converter and at short range seems really good at long seems a little fuzzy. Or the Heron did i shot it with in bright sun light?
I've just Micro adjusted it with my 7D today so hopefully should now be fine. I'm not expecting miracles with the 2x converter on it but much better than what i got
I've a rugby match to shoot tomorrow with it anyway (without any TC's) so we shall see. I must admit when I read about the weight of it I though yeh yeh photographers never happy but bloody hell would do not fancy hand holding for any length of time
I did contact Sigma to get a new tripod mount for it mine has the short stubby one on but at £160.00 a pop i think I'll pass! |

I was half expecting a replacement for the 400mm F5.6 L, one with IS. Relieved to see there isn't one. | Just found my Dad's box brownie (true). he was so pleased with that. That probably cost a fair wedge when he bought it, expensive is quite cheap, comparatively speaking.

So the long lenses went Canon 75-300, Sigma 120-400(my gf now owns this) , Canon 100-400 L Series I was so chuffed to have my first grey lens lol then sold it after a month for the Sigma 120-300 f2.8 (it just appeared on Ebay and thought I might get a bargin) which I did
To be fair as I do video with the 7D as well and the pump method of zoom on the Canon 100-400 is about as useful as a bucket full of holes when trying to use a zoom lens with a Follow Focus video setup I should of thought about that first I suppose
I manily got the Sigma 120-300 though because it gives me a 600 mm F5.6 with the x2 TC for wildlife and a good 300mm 2.8 sports lens for my events work in the one package. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
