Not sure why you went for the mk 2 version of this lens as it's designed specifically for full frame Nikons and costs considerably more. I have the original lens and a D300s. You simply wont be disappointed with the results that this lens is capable of producing. It's simply stunning. I also use mine with a Kenko 2x converter, which is ok but I much prefer to use the lens as is. I'd rather wait for birds etc to come to me and use the lens without any add ons. Wizzo
