I have found that the very old tripod I'm using for my new scope is not good enough - too much vibration at even medium magnifications, so I need a new one.
On a photo forum I have seen some good comments about Red Snapper tripods, which seem reasonably priced. However, the comments were in terms of the tripods being good for photography rather than with a scope.
While I feel a tripod that will support a DSLR and a big lens should support a scope too, the two uses are a bit different. One to be stable for the relativlely short duration of the exposure for a photo, the other much longer use at high magnification.
Does anyone use a Red Snapper tripod? If so, do you also use it with a scope too?
The one I'm looking at is the 283 Alloy 'pod and RSH 24 pan tilt head.

Alternatively any other suggestions would be welcomed.
