I've used it on 20D, 40D, 550D and 7D without issue but I did try and adjust my back focus on the 7D to get the very best out of it, but day to day it's a great lens |

Still i notice quite a few people on here use the 100-400mm and i was wondering if they have any issues with it sucking in dust as i've heard it is susceptable due to its construction. |

I hope not being a L series I thought they were all weather proof
I've just bought mine now anyway so time will tell, gobbiner you have a pm but the lens has been taken by my gf she was using it that often and was finally in the market for one so she is having the Sigma and I'm getting the Canon so when we are both out I'll have a chance to do some side by side comparisons with any luck |

I look forward to seeing some photos Badllarma |

However the reports of getting dust sucked in seem to vary from user to user some say it does some say it doesn't.
I have used the 100-400 a few times (I don't own one as it's a lens I would only use occasionaly) in fact I am renting one for the Biggin Hill Airshow and a photography day I am going on in Wildwood Canterbury. It is an excellent lens, I really enjoy using it.

I may be able to do a comparison this week as soon as the Canon arrives as I still will have the two at that time, will not be wildlife though just from the back garden I'll see what I can do |

I was taken aback at the amount of vignetting shown and wondered if this was typical of the lens. Still, vignetting is something that can be minimised in PP.
