| | | Re: Decent filter required for my 300mm prime Just to add I got a quote from a Nikon pro dealer for replacing the front lens element of a 300mm f4 which was "£300-£400". So I guess it's a filter then.
They recommended B+W if I remember well.

| | | Re: Decent filter required for my 300mm prime Just to round this one off I nipped along to the local Nikon Pro dealer today to pick up a new filter. Cost me £60 plus vat and the results are staggering. Its a huge improvement over the old one and I'd highly recommend it. Its a B+W Pro UV haze filter.
