Compact camera with good macro

Hi,
There is something very wrong with your camera - these are shots of Fairy Flax and Fly Orchids on macro and then zoomed in further, and you know how tiny these flowers are.

Sorry, My mistake. I have a Cannon Powershot 580. It does not have a macro setting but is quite capable of focusing right down to 1cm or less. The B---dy auto focus won`t let it. It is so infuriating to watch an image focus up clearly and then go out of focus as the stupid software decides to alter the setting.
I am cosidering destroying the camera in a spectacular fashion.
Any ideas?
