| | | Wide angle lens Hi,
Am thinking of getting a 10-20mm sigma lens HERE , but does anyone know if this will give me a noticeable difference for landscapes than using the lens than came with camera at the 18mm end? Apparently tho there is some distortion at 10-12 so maybe would only be using this lens at 13mm+.

I use this lens, and think it is very good. Although, you are correct in saying that there is slight distortion at 10mm.
But you will see a lot of difference from your 18mm even if you do only come down to 13 mm.
I love this lens for landscapes and other situations like inside buildings. |

I have never noticed any significant distortion, when using it on landscape.
Only when i have been too close to the object, that i wanted to photograph. |

| | | Re: Wide angle lens I'm not sure. Does elements include Adobe Camera Raw?
I'm pretty sure I've seen sreenshots of ACR with a distortion correction window.
If not, there's probably a free plug-in somewhere that'll do it. |

| | | Re: Wide angle lens I love the Sigma 10-20mm. I have never noticed any disturbing barrel or pincushion distortion at the widest end but with any ultra wide-angle lens there can be very noticeable perspective distortion.
The attached photo has not been cropped but was taken with the camera tilted upwards in order to capture the thunder clouds. Note the resulting distortion to the round straw bales near the edge.
Get yourself one and enjoy it!
