Moderate temperamental camera issue...

I have replaced the batteries with near-equal NiMH 2450mA - and it is practically back to normal! There were two lock-ups with the same navigation buttons, but less than ten rapid UP operations it resumed normal function.

It seems it's been a combination of erratic operations as per the dead batteries and now less than it was, dirt in the button that gets moved on by quick depressions.

It's worth cleaning the battery contacts every couple of months or so as well.

Just to update you all, the camera is still acting as if the button is sticking. When it seizes (sp?) up, if you press it once, it seems to free it. Contact cleaner sounds a good idea
