| | | Daft Question I just know this is a really stupid question but it occured to me last night that if a lens is "IF", internal focussing, with all the moving parts enclosed this means its auto focus only, right?
Told you it's a stupid question.

Told you it's a stupid question. | Hi Nigel, No that is not correct. I have the Sigma EX 100-300mm f4 lens with IF and it can be usual in manual and auto focus mode. This lens therefore retains a constant length throughout it's operation.

| | | Re: Daft Question And the bonus is that they don't suck in dust like the variable length zooms.
I use my Sigma 180 macro mostly with manual focus. |
