| | | Canon Wide Angle zooms Any Recomendations ? I would rather save and pay out on a good one, than be dissapointed, but something between £400 and £600,would help keep the Misses feet on the floor |

| | | Re: Canon Wide Angle zooms Any Recomendations ? Hi,
What camera are you using?
If it will take the EF-S lenses the EF-S 10-22 has very good reviews (good enough that I just bought one!) but I haven't had a chance to put it through it's paces yet.
Initial impressions are good though, nice build quality, and the first few 'play' shots came out well.
My main reason for buying was my current lens (EF-S 17-85) has major barrel distortion at the 17mm end so much so I didn't tend to use it below 20mm or so.
I am hoping to take the 10-22 out for a 'proper' play this weeknd so I will let you know how I get on

| | | Re: Canon Wide Angle zooms Any Recomendations ? It's worth noting that sigma has announced an 8-16mm crop sensor lens.
It's about equivalent to a 12-24 on a full frame.
It might be worth waiting till this lens is released/reviewed before buying. |

| | | Re: Canon Wide Angle zooms Any Recomendations ? I remember reading the Sigma 10/20 lens can be a bit hit and miss about getting a goodn or not,It would be nice,if I can ever afford a full frame SLR that I wouldn`t need to splash out again on a Wide lens, though I don`t see me having funds for a new SLR anytime soon... |

| | | Re: Canon Wide Angle zooms Any Recomendations ? The 10-20 isn't full frame compatible. The 12-24mm is, but that one is also a bit prone to copy variation from what I've heard. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
