| | | Dust in my macro,help! I just noticed some dust had got into my Sigma 105 (on the sensor side of the lens that attaches to the camera body,shows how much I know  )
Can anybody please tell me how I can best be rid if it , and without damaging my kit.

| | | Re: Dust in my macro,help! I assume that you mean on the back of the rear element. If so try a rocket blower. If that fails you could try one of the wet cleaning kits for sensors. If it's not going to damage the sensor it should be fine on a lens.
If it's actually inside the lens you would have to send it off for a clean.

"Rocket blower"? is that like a can of air.
The dust is not inside this time,lucky for me Naturenutz,hope you get yours sorted alright.

just checked them Rocket blowers up.Cheap,about £8ish.I can imagine one of those can of air things over cooking it and blasting crud right on.
ooh mummy!  I thought when I first saw the dust in my lens,but it appears straight foward to deal with.

Remember to test it at the apertures that you are likely to use. When I'm using my macro lens I don't normally go any narrower than f/22.
