| | | Binocular Repairs? Hmmm i just noticed there doesn't appear to be a Binocular/Scope forum...unless im being blind?...
Anyway...i just wanted a quick moan ha ha...
I have Bushnell bins at the moment (The new Swaro EL's will come when i get a job!)
They got dropped (again!) recently and went out of line....this has happened a few times during their life.....so i needed to send them off to be re collimated (calibrated).
Now here is the thing!...each time i end up going to a different shop/place because each time the same thing happens....i do some research and find a place that state that they can do 'in house' repairs/calibration of ....and then a list of brands and bin types which include mine!...so i go with them as i only have the one pair and want a quick turn around ( I feel lost without them)....but....each time....the promised '1-2 week turnaround' has been and gone and on chasing them up i am told 'Yes we had to send them back to Bushnell to be done'...meaning im likely to be without them for about a month now! =(
This happens every time....why dont shop's/repairers just be honest from the off!??
Im not naming any of the places i have used as im sure they are all normally very good reputable places but it just niggles me a bit!...
Is it the same story for other makes?....will i get the same deal with Swaro's? or is it just a bushnell thing?

Where abouts are you.
I know of a specialist optics shop in north norfolk who deal with bushnells and also do inhouse realigments etc..
David
They also sell Swarovski EL's. had a look at them a few weeks ago, a nice bit of kit but will stick with my leica's for the moment. Maybe if I win the lottery.........
