I have Lumix G1 this is my first decent camera
I like to take photo of my dog and wild life here and in South Africa
I would like some advice on what lens I should get
The one that can with the G1 is 14-45 I would like to get closer
Ant one got one of these with any advice

zoom in i think as i do not know what macro ability is

macro is the ability to focus close and produce closer to life size images.

true macro lenses focus to 1:1, meaning the image recorded is actual size on 35mm frame (that is the definition as i understand it, i may need correcting on some points)

i thought you meant zoom, but it's best to check what people actually mean before going into details

Do you want to take photos of insects where you can see the colour of their eyes?
