| | | Lumix G1 extension tube Hi all.
I recently got the Lumix G1, which I would like to use for macro photography.
I wonder if any one can advise me on where I may be able to find an extension tube for this or alternatively where I may be able to find a compatible micro four thirds mount extension tube?
This is my first SLR camera so I am a bit of a newbie with this.
Many thanks in advance.
Regards

The Raynox will do the job lovely
You will be fine with the RAYNOX DCR-250 MACRO LENS Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 New !!
but these have very shallow DOF so some practice is required but they do produce fantastic results as already confirmed in another recent thread about these attachments

| | | Re: Lumix G1 extension tube Thanks for your help guys.
What I am aiming for is to get a set up for taking extreme close ups of insects etc.
I don't think this will happen for a while though due to the high cost of lenses.
I would imagine that in time there will be more available for the micro four thirds mount.

He shows better than anyone else just what you can do with the Raynox lenses

| | | Re: Lumix G1 extension tube Oldwolf, your brick tuft photo wouldn't be with the G1 would it?
I am in the market for an entry level DSLR (which I know the purists would say the G1 isn't) but this is just about in my price range.
Cheers,
J.

That picture was taken with my wife's Olympus X-715.
It has been tweaked with an image editor.
If you would like to see a few pictures taken with the G1 please email me and I will be happy to send them to you.
But bear in mind that I'm still learning to use it.

I have a set of screw on lenses at the moment which I think I will carry on with for a while.
