Canon powershot battreies advice?

I have recently purchased a Canon powershot A720IS, seems great.

However the batteries isssue is what I now need advice on as it seems to eat ordinary AAs and I hear mixed reviews of the recommended Canon AA-size NiMH batteries.

Any info on which are best and cheap suppliers etc?

I use both Canon and Olympus cameras and do not bother to buy the manufacturers own batteries. I do tend to find their own makes do last longer, in relation to the single use of them as well as the number of times you can recharge them but IMO the extra price of them does not make it worth while. I usually get my batteries from 7 day shop.com, selecting their own make 2800mAh, and have had no problems.

I have a Canon A95,I have tried a few different types of batteries,but the ones I found best our Energiser rechargeables.I don`t use my A95 much these days,but those batteries keep going for ages and ages,and don`t seem to lose charge that quickly even without use.Buy two sets so you always have a charged set
