Landscape Lenses

Thanks very much Jon. I think I'm almost decided on a D700 with some good second hand lenses. Thanks again for the advice

I use a 17-55mm all the time, it's my 'everyday lens'. The 17mm end is just about OK for landscapes, though a wider angle is obviously better for some scenes. I like the results it gives and the lack of distortion is a real plus point, making it worth the money to me. It is quite a big and heavy lens for its range though.

I find it especially useful as a good wide to mid range lens for travelling.

Hi Ali! What camera do you use with the lens, and have you managed to get any shots published as yet. I've had a look at this lens, and it does look like a quality lump of glass. Wizzo

Hi there - I use it with a D200 and yes, I've had lots of work published that was taken using my 17-55mm lens.
