| | | Insurance company recomendations? Me and my parents have recently realised that i have amounted a fair value of equipment which is often all carried in one rucksack, and we are going to insure it.
I (my parents really) would like to know if any wabbers know of a good company for insuring your gear (mine will only be for around the value of £800 though)

| | | Re: Insurance company recomendations? Most household insurers cover personal items whilst away from home as an "add on" to the normal house contents policy. (Look at your existing policy, you will almost certainly see a section for such things - you never know, it might already have been taken up).
Generally speaking, insurers don't require single items to be specified unless they are individually worth more than £1000.00 (in some cases considerably more), so your kit should fall comfortably within the normal terms, if your parents take up that option on their policy.

Mike. |

| | | Re: Insurance company recomendations? Hi Squishy,
I`ve just gone through this myself, and at no extra cost, the main items of my photography equipment ( totalling £17,500-00 ) are covered within my house contents Insurance.
I hope this helps,
