Dropped my Ringflash

Dropped my 8 wk old Ringflash on a carpeted floor............Killed it stone dead. It's DAF 14..... Cheap it was, but not any more
Unfortunately I bought it from Germany and postage costs to send it for repair are prohibitive. Can't get it repaired in the UK, so had to order a new one.

This time from the UK a Marumi DRF14.....If I drop it(heaven forbid) at least it will be easier to get it fixed.

Just an experience of buying abroad

Postage costs to Germany are not too bad but I suppose you would have to send signed for

Postage seems to be rising, with more buying off the net.

I was charged €22 for shipping when i bought it.
Double that for shipping both ways + €40-50 for repairs, and I may as well right it off. Which I have done.
